My time spent with Splattered Ink Press involved anything and everything we needed for graphics. My very first job, before the company was even started, was to give it a face, a way to consistently brand our name on the back of every single book we created.
The logo design and name are a bit on the nose, but with the market of self-publishing we did not necessarily need to be clever, we needed to really drive the point home. Being the Head of Graphics, I also wanted the logo to illustrate a sense of design on top of the business end of things. We want clients who are ready for something with strong design and ready to pay for what that takes. Knowing that these designs mean just as much to me as all of the writing they have spent so much time writing.
So we are left with a logo that helps us stand out, describe what we do, how we do it, the heart behind every project, and the promise that this would not be just another print-on-demand, choose from these generic covers, heart-less money grab. Splattered Ink Press, your words are our business.
